After the departure of Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul from “American Idol”, it appeared that the show was finally coming to an end. Unfortunately for viewers it was not to be so, as they are forced week after week to watch the show crash and burn. This is due in part to the new judges with Nicki Minaj laying the foundation for the show to burn.

“I don’t know why she’s on there. She shouldn’t be a judge because she is a rapper not a singer. It should just be Mariah judging,” stated senior Isaiah Mancha.

It was common to see Simon and Paula get into it a little bit on the show, but Minaj takes it a little too far with her co-judges, openly threatening Mariah Carey when her co-judge disagrees with her.

Not to say of course that Minaj does not have any talent, just not enough to go around judging other people. There is also the fact she is trying to put on a tough persona, news flash Minaj you are not Simon Cowell, quit trying to be.

If the show keeps on this road it is safe to say that “American Idol” may not be on the air for many more seasons, especially since Minaj started on the show ratings are down 19% according to eonline.com.
